LAHORE: A group of 88 Hindu pilgrims arrived here on Tuesday from India through the Wagah border.

There are here to visit Katas Raj temple in Chakwal and Krishna Mandir in Lahore and perform religious rituals there, according to a spokesman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board.

The spokesman said the ETPB officials welcomed the delegation at Wagah and transported them at Dera Sahib Gurdwara in Lahore where they would stay at night and proceed for Chakwal (Katas Raj) on Wednesday (today).

On the other hand, another ETPB official told this reporter that as per protocol, as many as 200 Hindu pilgrims were allowed to enter Pakistan in order to participate in the Shiv Puja and to take holy bath at Katas Raj.

However, this time less number of pilgrims had arrived here, he added.
