More utility stores

Published November 24, 2014

THROUGH these columns, I would like to draw the authorities’ attention setting up more utility stores in a metropolis like Karachi.

There is no doubt the government has set up utility stores in the city for public convenience. These stores provide relief to the common man as essential commodities are available at lower prices than the market. The poorer sections of society benefit from such stores.

However, the number of utility stores, operating in Karachi is insufficient to cater to a city of this size. I hope the authorities take steps to open more stores, particularly in the lower income areas.
