Balochistan HEC office

Published November 22, 2014

Balochistan is the biggest province of Pakistan in terms of area where thousands of students get educational degrees from various institutions every year.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is the only centre where educational degrees are signed or verified before a student can apply for a job within the country or go abroad for higher studies.

Unfortunately, there is no HEC office in the entire province. The only available HEC office is in Islamabad. It takes around 30 to 40 hours to reach Islamabad by road. Besides, to find accommodation is another issue. Hence, it is difficult for students to have their degrees or certificates verified.

The HEC should have an office opened in Quetta or Makran so as to make things easier for students from Balochistan.
