Ali Zafar who will next be seen in Yash Raj's Kill Dil alongside Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Govinda has a lot to be excited about since the song he sang for the movie, 'Nakhriley' was released yesterday.

The song's video has a Western theme to it: Parineeti is clad in a strapless corset, flowing skirt and rodeo boots, whereas the boys, Ali and Ranveer are seen in flashy jackets with an intriguing mixture of textures like velvet and silk.

Sources reveal that the song is the most ambitious track in the film, especially with sets that took over two weeks to build.

The song has been written by Gulzar, composed by Shankar Eshaan Loy and crooned by Ali. Ali and Ranveer shot it for four days at a stretch.

Sources also said that Ali was overwhelmed to know that the makers have invested so much of time to picturise a song he has sung.

What's more is that the song pays tribute to the king of pop Micheal Jackson with a desi twist.

Talking about the song, Ali said: "Shad always has mad, interesting ideas and wanted something that pays tribute to MJ in a crazy-desi way. This has certainly been the most technical song for me in terms of singing and dancing. I'm really kicked about Nakhriley".

Although the song is not particularly catchy, Teray Bin Laden star's vast vocal range is undoubtedly showcased in a way that does it justice. It's an interesting fusion of qawwali and upbeat music. Though the dance moves are a little sloppy in places, but overall the trio definitely has chemistry on screen.

In the trailers and previous songs released from Kill Dil, Ali seems to be more of a supporting presence on screen, but he has been given the limelight in this number which is refreshing.

The film is slated to release on November 14, 2014.
