Always in the headlines, film actor Meera has said that she was still willing to marry Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan if the latter proposed. Attending the Quadi-i-Azam Trophy tournament at Lahore's Qadhafi Stadium, the actor said she would be happy to marry Imran if he asked her.

The actor had earlier said that she was willing to marry the cricketer-turned-politician.

Responding to a question about her earlier statements on marrying the politician, Meera said her remarks were still valid and she was waiting for Imran to approach her.

The PTI chairman has been engaged in anti-government protests in Islamabad and has been holding rallies in major cities and towns across the country calling for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign.

During one of his rallies, Imran had jokingly said that one of the reasons he wanted his demands to be met urgently in order for him to end the sit-in was so that he could get married. His statement had caused frenzy at the time. Following the statement, a television channel had asked Meera whether she would marry Imran if asked and she had said she wouldn't say no if Imran asked her to marry him.

The actor is collecting donations for a charity hospital named after her mother Shafqat, with the donations having now reached the sum of Rs80,00,000. The hospital will be inaugurated on November 25.
