LAHORE: German trainer on energy management Dr Helmut Koerber has said that the effects of prevailing power crisis in Pakistan can be minimised by adopting world’s best energy conservation practices.

“There exists a huge potential of growth among manufacturing SMEs in Pakistan,” he said in his keynote speech at a training programme, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) on ‘Energy Management’ in collaboration with Germany Agency GIZ here on Wednesday.

Dr Koerber was confident that Pakistani SMEs could also obtain huge benefits and enhance their competitiveness by making themselves more energy efficient.

He also gave a detailed presentation on best practices to be implemented by industries at world level to compete with international players and increase profitability.
