RAWALPINDI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)’s managers at major airports on Tuesday got together to discuss steps to improve facilities.

The recent online survey report, which declared Islamabad airport as the worst in the world, topped the main agenda of the meeting. Prime Minister’s Adviser on Aviation retired Capt Shujat Azim presided over the meeting.

The adviser expressed concern over the report and said besides being courteous and polite, the employees should be proactive in solving passengers’ problems.

He said expansion plan of Lahore and Quetta airports would be finalised while the renovated Multan airport would soon be opened.

After the meeting the adviser visited the sites of the ongoing projects at Islamabad airport, including construction of taxiway, international arrival lounge and the existing car parking area.

Aviation Secretary Shujat Azim directed the engineer not to compromise on work quality.
