GULLU Butt was shown leading the Punjab police and destroying cars and public property in Model Town by all TV channels for a number of days in April. This was an open and shut case and everyone expected him to be punished immediately without even the need for any witnesses. The officials/politicians who were backing him should have been punished also.
However, the nation was shocked when Gullu Butt was released by the High Court and the police escorted him out of jail through the VIP gate.
