GUJAR KHAN: A large number of motorists blocked G.T. Road in protest against suspension of CNG supply here on Monday.

According to sources, a large number of motorists had been waiting along the main road for filling their vehicles with CNG since Monday morning. However, when the CNG station operators suddenly suspended the supply, the drivers blocked traffic on the dual carriageway. They also chanted slogans against the government.

Malik Zamurd, one of the protesters, told mediapersons that the forced loadshedding of electricity and CNG had made lives of the residents miserable, adding that the government should minimise duration of loadshedding.

Later, Station House Officer Arif Gondal asked the management of CNG stations to restart supply without any delay. After resumption of the supply, the protesting drivers dispersed.
