Post the release of Khoobsurat, Bollywood’s new favourite pin-up boy, Fawad Khan has been showered with attention and affection, so it’s no surprise the heartthrob is already in talks with Delhi Belly writer, Akshat Varma for his upcoming directorial debut.

Filmfare reports that although nothing is set in stone yet, the actor has apparently read the script and is enthusiastic about the possibility of moving forward with the project. Furthermore, Filmfare also states that the movie is going to be an intense drama with comic touches, will consist of an ensemble cast and shooting is scheduled to start in November.

The actor is currently in Pakistan, arranging more screenings of Khoobsurat. When asked if he is going to stick around in Bollywood, the Humsafar star expressed “Yes, I am in talks. It would be something very different from Khoobsurat. I'd love to manage at least one project on both sides of the border next year. My friends in Pakistan and I are trying to put together a Pak-Indian project with Indian talent. We are looking forward to a collaboration. But this time it'd be a Pakistani production.”

According to DNA, the Khoobsurat leading man is going to be changing up his look. For starters, possibly the most talked about stubble of 2014 is going: "Well, sorry if this hurts my audience. But the beard will go off. It must go off. I can't keep it on much longer.”

Khan also said he’d like to tone his body and gain some mass. "I am trying to take on a completely new look. I was also much heftier than I look now. Then I lost a lot of weight. I have to gain a bit of weight now."

Whether Khan’s next project is a local one or one under Bollywood’s banner is unknown. However, what is certain is that with his handsome face, charming persona and commendable acting chops, there’s no doubt that Fawad Khan’s going to deliver a stellar performance in whichever role he pursues.
