Sindh governor unveils ICC World Cup trophy

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan has said that Pakistan is a safe place for the foreign sports teams and every person at every level should highlight and promote the positive and peaceful image of the country.

He was speaking at the unveiling of the ICC World Cup 2015 trophy inside the Governor House on Thursday. “The Pakistani nation is thrilled to find this World Cup 2015 trophy amongst them and they are praying for their team to lift the World Cup once again in Australia-New Zealand like they did in 1992,” said the governor.

The ceremony at the Governor House was also attended by Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, former captain Javed Miandad, PCB Director Intikhab Alam, adviser (South) PCB chairman Salahuddin Sallu, KCCA president Ejaz Faruqi, event coordinator Asif Azeem, PCB’s GM media Agha Akbar, secreary sports (Sindh) Laeeq Ahmed and NSK manager Arshad Khan.
