LAHORE: Test discarded wicketkeeper/batsman Kamran Akmal, while congratulation the Lahore Lions team for qualifying the T20 Champions League main round in India, warned its captain Mohammad Hafeez to keep continuity in the batting order.

“These are the moments of pride for all of us that Lahore Lions have entered the main round for the first time, but now a tough main round has started, so, I would like to advise Hafeez not to repeat the mistakes he has made in the qualifying round by unnecessarily changing the batting order,” Kamran told Dawn.

“Batting orders of Saad Nasim, Umar Siddique, Umar Akmal and Nasir Jamshed were changed which was not a good move,” he said.

About his own chances for comeback in the national team, Kamran said it was up to the selectors to give him a chance as he was trying hard to perform better at the domestic.

Some of top players like Ahmad Shahzad, Nasir Jamshed, Mohamamd Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz and Aizaz Cheema are taking part in the Champions League in India for Lahore Lions, therefore they cannot take part in the Pakistan National T20 event, which started in Karachi on Wednesday.

Their absence will definitely affect domestic event’s value which dates are already clashing with the Indian event.
