MUZAFFARGARH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif pledged here on Tuesday that neither he nor any member of his team would take rest until all flood-hit people are compensated for their losses.

He said this at a flood-relief camp set up at the Government Khursheedabad Girls High School during his visit to the district.

He ordered the local PML-N politicians to come forward to participate in the relief and rescue work for the flood-hit.

During his five-minute address, he said people had lost their houses, lives, crops and cattle during the flood. He said the flood was so sudden and massive that the government could not do anything immediately to avert losses.

He pledged that each and every person affected by flood would be compensated by the government.

He said his government would build the houses damaged by the flood.
