KARACHI: The body of a young man stuffed in a gunny bag was found in the Old Golimar area on Tuesday.

The Rizvia Society police said that the decomposed body was recovered near the Lasbella bridge.

The body, which bore torture marks, was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Till late in the night, the identity of the man could not be known.

Man found strangled

A 42-year-old man was found dead in Korangi-4 on Monday night.

The police said the body of Mohammed Javed was found near Labour Square. He was strangled to death. The body also bore torture marks.

He was living alone in Korangi 3 ½, said the police.

Woman found dead

The body of a young unidentified woman was found in a Malir area on Tuesday.

Memon Goth police said the body was found from the Malir riverbed near Mehran Garden. The body bore no injury and it was shifted to the Jinnah hospital, where doctors reserved the cause of death for chemical examination.
