LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab’s Lahore Lions kabaddi squad arrived here on Monday from India after taking part in two matches of the World Kabaddi League (WKL) there.

In India, the Lions won one match while lost the other. So far in two legs of the league, Pakistan had played four matches recording three wins while conceding one defeat.

Meanwhile, Lions’ skipper Babar Waseem Gujjar said his raiders particularly Shafiq Chishti and Akmal Shahzad Dogar exhibited excellent skills during their match against India’s Punjab Thunders team.

The Lions, however, lost to Khalsa Worriors.

Meanwhile, Sports Board Punjab director general Usman Anwar was elected to the WKL executive body, according to a spokesman of the Board.
