Rs28bn released for development projects

ISLAMABAD: The government has so far released Rs28.32 billion under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for various projects against a total allocation of Rs525bn for the fiscal year 2014-15.

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, Rs9bn has been released for various projects of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, out of its total allocation of Rs5.1bn.

The government has released Rs7.4bn for the Railways Division for which a total of Rs29.5bn has been earmarked in the PSDP.

An amount of Rs807.12 million has been released for the Cabinet Division out of its total allocation of Rs2bn whereas Rs18.2m has been released for the Communications Division out of its total allocation of Rs191.13m.

A sum of Rs72.6m has been released for the Commerce Division, out of a total of Rs363m.

And against a total allocation of Rs1.1bn allocated for the Finance Division, the government has released Rs206m so far.
