MANSEHRA: A young boy suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out in a house at Dara Mundian area of the district here on Saturday.

Local people and fire tenders extinguished the fire, but not before the blaze had already destroyed the goods and valuables in the house. Local people said that the fire was caused due to short-circuit.

Mohammad Niaz, 5, who was inside a room, suffered burn injuries. The boy was rescued by his family members from the burning house. The injured was shifted to hospital.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire, which suddenly broke out in the house owned by Mohammad Farooq, went out of the control of the local people. Later, the fire tenders were called, which put out the blaze.
