KARACHI: The commissioner of Karachi on Saturday reviewed measures taken by government departments for provision of medical, educational and other basic facilities to the needy.
The meeting was attended by the director of the social welfare department, senior officials of the Zakat department, Baitul Maal and Benazir Bhutto income support programme beside welfare organisations.
The commissioner said the departments working for welfare of the needy should maintain transparency in providing support to the people.
