OKARA: A man shot dead his sister on suspicion of loose morals here on Saturday at Kot Mushtaq Shah near Hujra Shah Muqeem.

Jamil Haidar suspected that his sister Bushra Bibi had developed relations with a man. On Saturday, he shot her dead.

Hujra Shah Muqeem police have registered a case.

SIT-IN CAMP: A number of activists of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on the second day of their sit-in camp in front of Okara Press Club on Sunday, took a round of the city bazaars along with some of their like-minded groups.

The rally was led by PAT leader Gulfam Sheikh, Friends of Pakistan Organisation’s Aslam Khan Lodhi, Zahid Qadri, Aslam Mughal Advocate of Sunni Tehreek and Rana Attique Aslam of Anjuman Talba-i-Islam and Majlis-i-Wahdatul Muslameen (MWM).

The participants chanted slogans against the government and pledged that they would continue their struggle till the acceptance of demands made by Dr Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan.
