MUMBAI: Pakistani actor Humaima Malick has said she wants to "win every Indian's heart" as she steps into Bollywood with her debut film, Raja Natwarlal, reported The Hindu.

“I am here for good. Please accept me,” the Bol actor said, in a plea reminiscent of her border-crossing predecessors, Veena Malik and Meera.

“I am not here to follow anybody’s path, and with Bol I have already proven my talent. But nobody can make a film like Bol again. As an actor I want to do all kind of roles. So here I am, from Bol to bold,” Humaima said.

"I have done something very serious. Now I want to reach the masses. I want to be in every Indian’s heart. I want every Indian to accept me as one of them."

Commenting on her role in the upcoming film, Humaima said, "It is the kind of role where I will get to sing and dance and become the emotional anchor of Raja.”

When it was suggested that her role appears cliche, Humaima said, “A good actor knows how to create his or her space. Also, life is too short to go into too many details.”
