LAHORE: Training camp of Lahore Lions for its preparation at the T20 Champions League starts at the National Cricket Academy here from Monday.

The team is to leave for India for the league on September 8 and it will play its opener against Mumbai Indians in Raipur on September 13.

Key players like captain Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Ahmad Shahzad and Wahab Riaz, who are busy in Sri Lanka for Pakistan’s three One-day International series, will join the Lahore Lions in the first week of September when the Lions will be playing some practice matches before its departure.

Ijaz Butt as camp commandant and Mohsin Kamal as coach will conduct the camp.
