LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday rejected an application to prevent Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s ‘Azadi march’ from entering into the federal capital’s Red Zone, DawnNews reported.

Earlier on Monday, Advocate Kashif Sulaimani had submitted the petition in the LHC, which stated that Khan’s move to enter the Red Zone would be unconstitutional.

Sulaimani said the court should issue orders to prevent him from leading the march into the Red Zone. He had moreover requested that the court should hear the matter on a daily basis.

Justice Alia Neelam rejected the petition in the preliminary hearing and remarked that the matter was not of a sensitive nature and the court could not conduct its hearings on a regular basis.
