KARACHI: A suspected gangster and a teenager were shot dead in two separate incidents in the Chakiwara and Kalakot areas of Lyari on Friday night, officials said.

They added that Atif Mustafa was gunned down by gunmen in Gulistan Colony.

The SHO of Chakiwara, Naseer Magsi, claimed that the deceased was a gangster and might have been murdered by his accomplices over some issue.

In another incident in Kalakot, an around 17-year-old youth was shot dead.

The police said that he was passing through Afshani Gali when gunmen attacked him.

He sustained bullet wounds in the head and was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. His identity could not be ascertained immediately.
