LAHORE: Two commercial-cum-residential plots of the Lahore Development Authority were sold on Monday for Rs88.7 million in an open auction held at the LDA’s Muslim Town community centre here on Monday.

“The corner plot No 305, situated in Johar Towns block H-III and measuring about 27 marla, was auctioned for Rs67.1 million.

Though its base price was evaluated at Rs1.5 million per marla, it fetched over Rs2.5 million per marla price,” the spokesman claimed in a statement. He said the plot No 305/1 measuring 12-marla of the same block was sold for over Rs21.6 million. Its base price was assessed at Rs1.4 million, but it fetched Rs1.8 million per marla price, he said.

The spokesman said that auction proceedings were organized and monitored by senior officials of the LDA, including directors (Finance, Land Development and Estate Management).
