SIALKOT: Four people, including three of a family, were feared drowned when their car plunged into the Bambaanwala-Ravi-Badian (BRB) Canal near Daska on Sunday.

The Siraanwali-Satrah-based family was travelling in a rented car which plunged into the canal near village Salhoki.

Car passengers including Saiqa Bibi, 42, three-month-old Shan, one-year-old Shifa Bibi, two-year-old Ali, Abbas, 20, and driver Nadeem drowned.

Passersby saved Shifa and Ali while the divers of Rescue 1122 were searching for the remaining passengers and the driver.
