KARACHI: Senior journalist, analyst and anchorperson Hamid Mir has left for London, DawnNews reported on Friday.

Mir, who was targeted by armed gunmen on April 19, 2014 in Karachi and received six bullets, is expected to consult doctors for medical treatment in London.

Mir left for London along with his wife and daughter through flight EK613, where his son Yasir Aarafat has already been residing for educational purposes, DawnNews quoted sources as saying.

According to the sources, Mir’s stay in London could be prolonged.
