KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Monday claimed to have arrested two suspected militants who were allegedly planning to carry out a bomb attack in the metropolis and seized an explosives-laden motorcycle.

The paramilitary force carried out a targeted raid in Muslimabad Colony, Quaidabad, while acting on a tip-off about the presence of the militants there.

On seeing the Rangers, the suspects tried to escape abandoning the explosives-laden motorbike, but the troops chased the fleeing suspects and arrested two Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan militants, said the spokesperson.

The personnel seized weapons and explosives, he said. They also launched a search operation to arrest their accomplices.
