Pakistan maintains 6th position in ICC ODI rankings

KARACHI: Pakistan has maintained its sixth position with 100 points in the recently released ODI rankings by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

According to the ICC rankings, Australia remained on top with 115 ratings, while Sri Lanka, after managing to win a series against England, has moved up at the number two position. India, however, has gone down to the number three spot.

India’s Virat Kohli occupies the top spot for best ODI batsman, while South Africa’s AB de Villiers is at number two. Pakistan’s captain Misbahul Haq resides at the number nine position with no other Pakistani batsman managing to make it to the top 10.

However, Pakistan’s spin maestro Saeed Ajmal, for strengthening Pakistan’s spin attack to a new level, was named best ODI bowler. South Africa’s fast and fiery Dale Steyn ended up being at the second spot.
