Altaf Hussain, leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, arrested on suspicion of money-laundering a move that sparked fears of violence in his home base of Karachi. Police in Britain do not name suspects until they are charged. But when asked about Hussain, the Metropolitan Police said a 60-year-old had been detained on Tuesday morning.
