VEHARI: A burnt and decomposed body was found on Thursday in the suburbs of Luddan, 40 kilometres from here.

Some passersby alerted the Luddan police after spotting the body in woods in Mauza Mangan.

Police shifted the body to DHQ Hospital for autopsy.

Vehari police chief Sadiq Ali Dogar told Dawn police were trying to establish the identity of the man. He said several people of the locality had seen the body but failed to identify it.

Station House Officer Mujahid Bloch said they registered a case under Section 302 and 7-ATA against unidentified people.
