PESHAWAR: Students of different departments of Sarhad University set up stalls to showcase their projects during a three-day annual spring festival, which opened here on Thursday.

Vice-chancellor Dr Salimur Rehman, who was the chief guest on the occasion, announced opening of the festival after a flag march by the students of all 15 departments of the university.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC said that the Sarhad University accorded equal importance to curricular and extracurricular activities. He said that the spring festival had become a regular feature of the university.

Later, the chief guest along with faculty members visited different stalls and appreciated projects of the students. The stalls of engineering sciences, fashion designing, pharmacy, education, communication and media studies, computer science and other departments attracted a large number of visitors.

Students from different private schools along with their teachers also visited the Sarhad University campus and showed interest in the works of students.
