SHIKARPUR: A man gunned down his sister-in-law in Hotani village near here early on Saturday over suspicions she had had an extramarital affair with someone.

Police said that Himat Ali Hotani killed Ms Mandam, wife his brother Mushtaque Ali Hotani, and escaped.

The bereaved husband rejected his brother’s suspicions about his wife’s involvement in any extramarital affair and insisted she was completely innocent.

In another incident, Maahi Khan, 14, son of Arbab Ali Jatoi, was killed when he came under fire by rival tribal group of Lihaz Jatoi at Nawab Jatoi village.

The murder is said to be an offshoot of a simmering dispute between the two groups over a dispute involving karo-kari allegations.

No FIRs has been registered about the murder.
