SKARDU: Two army personnel were killed, three injured and one went missing when an avalanche hit them in Olding sector early on Thursday, sources told Dawn.
They said bodies had been retrieved from the snow and an operation had been launched to find the missing solder.
The injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital in Skardu.
Meanwhile, a gas leak claimed three lives in Doghoni village of Ghanche district, some 65km from Skardu, on Thursday night.
