ISLAMABAD: Some officials of the Federal Investigation (FIA) have been accused of involvement in human trafficking and sex trade in the capital city.

Sources said during the last two days the FIA human trafficking cell arrested 12 sex workers belonging to a Central Asian country along with their ring leader. The ring leader during interrogation alleged that the FIA officials had transported her sex workers to the city.

A few days back, a civilian intelligence agency caught an official of the FIA transporting sex workers to different localities in the Red Zone.

During interrogation, the FIA official confessed that he had been involved in transporting the sex workers in the city. Later, he was handed over to the FIA for further investigation.

When contacted, Nasrullah Gondal, the deputy director of the FIA human trafficking cell, neither denied nor confirmed the allegations.
