Microsoft Lync event held KARACHI: Microsoft Pakistan orgnaised an event for corporate customers to discuss Microsoft Lync, a software, which provides companies integrated communication solutions, a press release said. The event was conducted by Worldwide CTO for Lync Aamer Kaleem.

Ufone, Buksh Foundation CSR campaign

KARCAHI: Ufone collaborated with Buksh Foundation by becoming a part of the latter’s ‘Lighting a Million Lives’ campaign, a press release said.

The pilot project has been initiated in Thata Deva and Kalas, two villages in Chiniot. A solar charging station with five solar panels and five junction boxes has been set up. The initiative will remove the need for kerosene lamps, reduce carbon emissions and empower women.

Sindh Bank awarded licence

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has granted licence to Sindh Bank for the commencement of Islamic banking operations, a press release said.

The bank successfully completed the pre-launch phase on a fast track, and now work is being done on pre-commencement phase.

Pak-Finland business moot held

ISLAMABD: The first ever two-day Pakistan-Finland Business Summit concluded here on Wednesday.

The summit was inaugurated by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi. Finnish Ambassador Rauli Suikannen complimented the government on its investor-friendly policies. The event was attended by prominent companies from Finland. Minister of State for IT Ms Anusha Rehman also addressed the event.
