KARACHI: The IBA-SBP Consumer Confidence Survey website was officially launched on Thursday.

State Bank of Pakistan Governor Yaseen Anwar and Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Dean and Director Dr Ishrat Husain, also a former SBP governor, conducted the launch. They hoped that the survey would help improve economic policies.

“The data on expectations regarding inflation, interest rate, stock prices, and employment are important for policy formulation, which explain why many countries are using consumer surveys for policy making,” said Anwar.

He said that 12 waves of the survey have been completed and in each 1,800 randomly selected households were surveyed.
