LAHORE, Nov 12: The Pakistan Railways Police have finalised arrangements to ensure security of seven special trains being operated to facilitate travel of Sikh devotees due here shortly.

Some 3,000 or so Sikh devotees will arrive here from India through Wagah to participate in the 543rd birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Devji, starting from Nov 28.

Railway Police Inspector-General Syed Ibne Hussain directed his subordinates to deploy maximum personnel for security of the three special trains that would bring the yatrees from Wagha to Lahore from where four other trains would take them to Nankana Sahib and Hasanabdal.

In addition, commandos (male and female) would be deployed at Wagah, Badami Bagh (Lahore), Nankana Sahib and Hasanabdal stations. Bomb disposal staff should search all the platforms before arrival of the special trains, the railway police IG said.
