Taliban accuse govt of sorcery

PESHAWAR: The banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan has claimed that the government resorted to sorcery to cause headache and body pain to its slain chief, Hakeemullah Mehsud. Hakeemullah sought spiritual treatment from an Arab faith-healer prior to the Nov 1 drone strike in which he was killed, the TTP said.
In a statement on the death of its leader, the TTP said Waliur Rahman, Saeed Allah, Jalal, Wali Badshah and his uncle Khair Mohammad also lost their lives when his car was hit by three missiles at the entrance to Mehsud’s home.
Towards the last days of his life, Hakeemullah had received spiritual treatment, which improved his health and he had been able to step up militant activities, the statement claimed.
“Although he had no symptom of any disease, Hakeemullah’s health had been steadily declining because of the government’s sorcery,” the TTP alleged.
The TTP paid tribute to its slain leader for “masterminding a suicide bombing” by a Jordanian fighter at a CIA base in Khost, Afghanistan, in December 2009 and the car bombing attempt in New York’s Times Square by Faisal Shahzad in May 2010.

He underwent yoga and meditation and his health improved to be able to kill more innocent persons, women and children. Believing in sorcery indicate what type of Islamist fellows are.these killers.

It is quite possible that Fazlullah was slowly poisoning Hakimullah to get get rid of him and become the TTP leader. After all Fazlullah is a ruthless person.I don't think GoP has the capability to do anything, even sorcery!

They give the government too much credit. Minister for Spiritual Healing rather than Minister for Health will be a tough job. Everything beyond control (though we may have had sorcerers for Minister before).

I readdly don't believe my eyes. The so called islamic organization is blaming the govt of putting hakeemullah under a spell. Since they know this much can they please give more details of the state sponsored magicians. I think they have been watching Harry Potter a lot. Don't they realise that any person can fall ill. Headaches/migraines are so common these days so all those people with these ailments to blame any of their adversaries of black magic?

the TTP and its affiliates and associates are miscreants and out of senses.... but even more so is our media who is giving insight of their clumsy life and their mindless statements .. why media is giving coverage to such rhetoric and retarded news is beyond imaginations.... seems, they way media is covering their personal lives, no wonder sooner talibans will have them included in our text books ala our other past heroes and for that only our media is to be blamed who have mostly un-educated journalists who will report from anything to everything and same is even discussed on tv channels.... be it Mehsud's headaches or Obama's nightmares...

The problem with Muslims world is that they never act in unison. They lost East Pakistan, Iraq, Libya and Palestine only because they made mistakes since WW. British made them tool, followed by USA. Internal conflicts were made international and localized conflicts were allowed to be used by enemies for their gains. This is the basic reason of all failures and defeat.

Well since we are talking religion and mysticism, let me add my two cents here. Since Hakimullah and his men killed thousands of innocent people in Pakistan, his men really thought it was magic that was causing him the pain? Did they ever consider that it was the 'Budd-dua' or Tears shed in pain by the innocent victim's relatives for which he was being punished by the Almighty? When Hakimullah didn't heed attention, Allah told him that since he hadn't learnt a lesson, his time was up. Afterall, Allah gives many chances to us humans to mend our ways.

The majority of the educated world does not even believe in sorcery - but if it does exist, and is being used against the Taliban, can they please get some more highly skilled sorcerers and do a better job of it.
