THIS is apropos former MNA Sumaira Malik’s disqualification. Being a voter of NA-69, I have the right to put some questions before our judiciary and the government.

First, how did the former MNA get clearance from the Higher Education Commission and then from the high court? The high court gave verdict in her favour and the HEC declared her degree original. So what now? The respected Supreme Court declared her degree null and void.

In short, according to media reports, the Supreme Court ordered the former MNA to pay back the expenses on the case by the petitioner and also ordered starting a legal proceeding against Sumaira Malik.

Now the question here is: what about the expenses which are spent from government treasury in general elections and, most importantly, how she got through the HEC and high court?

Important questions need to be answered. Will the HEC be charged? Will Sumaira Malik pay back millions of rupees spent during the holding of the general election in NA-69?
