KARACHI, July 24: The heroics of prolific scorer Saifullah went in vain as Arambagh Club fought back to register 40-38 victory over Bounce Club in a nail-biting match of the Commissioner Karachi Peace Cup basketball tournament at the former’s floodlit court on Tuesday evening.

It was in the fourth and last quarter that Arambagh Club first levelled the score 33-all and then went on to win the tie.

Earlier at the outset, Bounce Club led the first quarter 10-5 and despite being tied 11-11 in the second, led 21-16 at half time. The third and fourth quarters saw Arambagh Club making a comeback by capitalising the scoring chances that came their way. They have an edge 11-10 and 13-7 in the last two quarters respectively which changed the scenario.

Syed Adnan Ali finished in double figures with 13 followed by Rehan eight and Agha M. Ibrahim seven. Abdullah caught the eye by scoring one three pointer.
