I fail to understand why this worries animal-rights activists. I would understand if the dogs are being killed in inhumane ways, or were being treated in a cruel way before being put to death. Otherwise, unless these same rights groups are worried about killing of cows, pigs, chicken, goats and a multitude of other animals for food, their 'worry' for just this particular species seems to be just ethnocentrism.
Either oppose killing of all animals for food, or don't be a hypocrite and target only this case just because it just smacks of an attitude of cultural superiority.

Why not to export dogs? Our industries have otherwise been jamed due to power failure.

Thank god, In our Indian Subcontinental region there are lots of vegetables and fruits. At least we still need to eat dog, insects, snake etc.

All right, I don't think I'll be able to eat anything for iftar. Actually we have the same conditions here with respect to slaughtering of cows and chickens. Do you see how broiler hens are transported everyday on road and the conditions of a slaughter house?
