I WOULD like to draw the attention of DG, LDA, and other higher authorities concerned on the above-mentioned title.
It is regrettable that nearly 4,000 plots in different societies have fallen under litigation for the last 10 years. And even cleared plots are still lying undeveloped.
Since the LDA had already received billions of rupees in the very beginning as down payments and monthly instalments, the question arises as to where the money of the allottees has gone.
On the other hand, due to litigation about 4,000 allottees have not been provided with the possession of their plots. Whenever contacted, the only answer by the officials concerned is that the matter is yet to be decided by the high court.
The LDA had perhaps mistakenly allotted plots in 2003 in the jurisdiction of the following societies:
Islamic Research Society, Punjab Secretariat Society, EME Society, Chiniot Society and Punjab Cooperative Society.
But all these above-mentioned societies went to court against the LDA for the illegal allotment of their land.
It has been a long time that the LDA and various housing societies are engaged in justifying each other in the high court while the allottees are awaiting patiently to have possession of their plots.
I request the chief minister to look into the matter.
