I WOULD like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the insufficient provision of streetlights in Karachi University.

Students of the evening batch suffer most when they have to go from one department to another to attend their classes.

At some places streetlights are planted but are not switched on.

In the evening the university looks like a hunted place. Students of the morning batch aren’’t facing any such problem.

What an irony that the students of the evening batch pay double fees compared to the morning batch’s but there has no arrangement been made for them by the authorities concerned for proper lighting system on the campus.

Anybody listening.

Perhaps Western ‘statesmen’ may moderate their policies if a significant percentage of voters punish them at the ballot box.
