PESHAWAR: The PTI-led coalition government introduced several initiatives in the education sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the 2013-14 fiscal year in line with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s campaign slogan to enforce ‘education emergency’ if voted to power.

The education budget was increased to Rs13.83 billion for the coming financial year from Rs12.18bn in the 2012-2013 fiscal, Finance Minister Sirajul Haq said.
