MANSEHRA, May 25: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Mian Nawaz Sharif will pay his first visit to Mansehra after taking oath of the office of prime minister as he had started his party’s election campaign from this town and clinched victory, said MNA-elect from NA-20, Mansehra-I, Sardar Mohammad Yousuf while speaking at a public gathering in Kaghan valley on Saturday.

“Mr Sharif launched his electoral campaign from Mansehra and secured a landslide victory and following suit he would visit Mansehra after taking oath of the office of prime minister,” claimed Mr Yousuf.

He said that the people of Hazara, particularly of Mansehra district, were strong supporters of the PML-N and its leader and they had proved this on May 11 when they voted him to power.

“I have met Mr Sharif in Raiwand and he assured me that he would first visit Mansehra after taking oath as PM. He would assure the people of Mansehra about his promises concerning development projects which he had announced while addressing public gathering here last month,” said the MNA-elect.

He said that besides provision of natural gas to the backward areas of the district Mr Sharif would also announce launch of work on Hassan Abdal-Mansehra expressway and other big projects. He said that the PML-N would put the district on way to development and people would soon witness the change. He said that the new government would also address the issue of potable water in Mansehra city and its suburbs.

CONSUMER RIGHTS: The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has moved the district consumer court to take to justice officials of the government departments concerned who allowed operation of clinical laboratories in Mansehra without fulfillment of the prescribed criteria.

CPC secretary Zulfiqar Khan moved the court on Saturday for closing down all the clinical laboratories in Mansehra city that were operating without trained staff and licence from the concerned health department authorities.

Mr Khan in his petition, filed under Section 13 of the Consumer Act, pleaded the court for seizure of the laboratories functioning illegally.

“The owners of these laboratories are playing with the lives of patients while issuing fake reports,” he observed.

He also pleaded the court to take to task officials of the government departments concerned who did not take action against such laboratories and allowed their owners to play with the lives of people.
