KARACHI, May 17: Sindh High Court Chief Justice Mushir Alam said on Friday that the SHC election cell had received no complaint against any judicial officer engaged for poll assignments during the May 11 vote.
Speaking to reporters after the oath-taking ceremony of three SHC judges, he said that the election staff had reached many polling stations with an inordinate delay.
He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan was responsible for the situation.
Meanwhile, three additional judges of the SHC took the oath as permanent judges of the high court.
The SHC chief justice administered the oath to Justices Abdul Rasool Memon‚ Naimatullah Phulpoto and Sadiq Hussain Bhatti in a ceremony held at the committee room of the court.
Senior judges and lawyers attended the ceremony in large numbers.
The appointment of the three additional judges as permanent ones was approved by President Asif Ali Zardari on the advice of the prime minister.
