KOHAT, May 15: The police booked nine levies personnel and 35 others for blocking the Kohat-Hangu Highway to protest alleged rigging in general elections in Orakzai Agency.

The levies men and other protesters had blocked the road alleging rigging against PPP candidate Jawad Hussain by the winning candidate Dr Ghazi Gulab Jamal. The protest was led by Subedar Laiq Hussain and his eight subordinates.

The Ustarzai police after identifying the protesters nominated them in the FIR and launched efforts for their arrest. —Correspondent
