UMERKOT, July 24: A man is alleged to have axed his 18-years-old wife to death and later chopped the body into pieces in Inayat ji Dhani village of Chhachhro taluka on Saturday. Talking to journalists, some villagers said that after killing the woman the accused left the village.

The body was buried without informing police. The villagers said that the man had married the woman only a year ago.

The parents of the woman were keeping quiet because of the community’s pressure.

An official at Chhachhro police station said he was unaware of any such incident.
