QUETTA: On the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari, a PPP delegation led by Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani met senior provincial minister and leader of JUI-F Maulana Abdul Wasay on Sunday to express regrets over remarks made by Mir Sadiq Umrani, the provincial president of PPP, who had described the JUI-F as a terrorist organisation.

Federal minister and provincial general-secretary of PPP Ayatullah Durrani and former federal minister Baz Muhammad Khetran accompanied the chief minister to the residence of Maulana Wasay.

The delegation told the JUI-F leader that President Zardari  had been saddened by the remarks of Mr Umrani and viewed the religious party as a victim of terrorism.

The PPP leaders told Maulana Wasay that Mr Zardari had great respect for the leadership of JUI-F.
