LAHORE, June 2: The food squad of the City District Government Lahore on Thursday inspected over 20 food points and sent 44 samples to a laboratory for test.

According to a handout, a team led by the District Officer (Food) Dr Masood Ashraf inspected 20 food spots, including Cakes and Bakes, GA Enterprises, Wahid Bakers, Arif Dairy, Lasani Dairy, Topsi Burger Point, and several restaurants and bread factories.

After receiving results from the food laboratory, the team forwarded 10 cases relating to unhygienic food to courts. CLEAN-UP:

The CDGL on Thursday removed more encroachments and razed illegal structures in different localities of Wagah, Shalamar, Data Ganj Bakhsh, Allama Iqbal, Nishtar, Samanabad and Gulberg towns. ADDITIONAL CHARGE:

CDGL's District Officer (Architecture Department) Khawaja Anjum Nazir has been given additional charge of DO (special planning) by Lahore DCO Ahad Cheema.
